I’ve been advised by Toolik regulars not to forget the DEET, and a headnet for mosquitoes is a good idea. For these and other last-minute shopping items, Fred Myer in Fairbanks is a Wal-Mart-type place that sells just about everything. We can coordinate taxi rides there on the 26th, between University of Alaska visits (that schedule is still to come). There will be no time to shop on the 27th, before getting on the Dalton Express.
